How do I find out about upcoming opportunities for CL posts?
New CL posts can be advertised at any point during the academic year although NIHR funded ones tend to be advertised in March. Vacancies for CLs can be found on the University’s jobs web site at : https://www.jobs.cam.ac.uk/ and on Oriel : https://www.oriel.nhs.uk/Web
Differences between NIHR and locally funded posts
All CL posts have the same contract, terms and conditions, bursaries and access to training opportunities regardless of whether they are funded locally or via the NIHR.

How do I obtain a Visitor Agreement to access University resources while undertaking my research?
Clinical Lecturers are employed by the University so do not require a visitor agreement.
Statutory leave
Please contact the HR contact in the University Department where you are based in the first instance. You can also contact the School of Clinical Medicine HR Department at cshrclinical@admin.cam.ac.uk
Changing hours to less than full time

Under the NIHR rules where we treat locally employed academic trainees identically, the guidelines states that if trainees undertake an OOP during their ACF then normally the ACF will come to an end; however, this is at the discretion of the HEE local office and NIHR Academy.
